2020 Chardonnay, El Diablo Vineyard

Driving the core of this Chardonnay is the Montrachet selection. At 70% of the blend its rich with chai spice, jasmine, and toasted almonds. At 30% of the blend, the Robert Young selection had dense, tiny berries that overall resulted in less fruit from our block but nonetheless intensely flavored.

The wine gains plenty of weight between fermentation and bottling so the aim is always a precisely crafted mouthfeel driven with verve, and after 11 months in barrel, it has rounded out and provides balanced richness on the palate. Salinity drives the finish creating another mouthwatering bottling from this exquisite vineyard.
