2020 Pinot Noir, El Diablo Vineyard
With smaller yields and clusters than previous vintages due to a dry spell, it had a positive impact with more concentration. Harvest was three weeks earlier with fruit off the vine before September, making it a current record.
Driven with aromas of red-skin apples, candied black fruit, and Angostura bitters, it is bruting, spicy, and exotic. On the palate, the wine exhibits youthfulness, with cherry and strawberry preserves, and a focused, long finish that has a tremendous lift.
The 2020 Pinot Noir, El Diablo Vineyard will continue to evolve over the next decade or more making it a great wine to enjoy now or hold in your cellar.
